Ironwood® Installation Tips
What Fixings Should I Use?
All nails bolts and screws that are used with Ironwood® must be hot-dipped galvanised for normal applications. Harsh environments, such as those close to the sea, will require stainless steel or similar.
Fittings such as post supports should be hot-dipped galvanised, while above ground products such as joist hangers are zinc plated.
Pre-use Storage of Ironwood®
If you need to store Ironwood® for a period of time before use, it should be kept out of the weather above ground. Strapping and wrapping should be left on the product before use.
