Termi-nator Termite Resistant Plantation Pine Framing
Termi-nator is the environmentally responsible option for termite resistant
framing that is guaranteed to resist termite attack for 25 years.
Termi-nator - Peace of Mind
Termi-nator is treated with an organic pesticide that is safe for humans
and animals but toxic to termites. With a fully transferable
25-year warranty against termite damage, Termi-nator offers peace
of mind to builders and homeowners.
Termite Risk
Termites are present in many regions of Australia and sensible steps should
be taken to protect homes from invasion. The building code gives several methods
for achieving whole of house protection. These methods protect
not just the structural frame but also other materials like doors, cupboards and
carpets.
Combined with whole of house protection, Termi-nator provides an effective
barrier to termite damage and is recognised by Australian Standards and
the Building Code of Australia (BCA) as a termite resistant building material.

Protecting your home with Termi-nator
To protect against termite attack, Termi-nator plantation pine framing has been
treated with organic insecticides that are used in common household
applications such as fly-spray and hair lice shampoos. The treated timber is safe
to handle and poses no threat to humans, plants or animals.

Different Termi-nator Treatments - H2 & H2-F
Termi-nator is available treated to either an H2 or an H2-F hazard level/class
making it suitable for applications where it is not exposed to the weather,
such as wall frames and roof trusses (hazard levels refer to the hazards the timber
will be exposed to e.g. weathering if used outdoors). See the table below to see
what hazard level your timber needs to be treated to.

What are the differences between Termi-nator H2 and Termi-nator H2-F?
Termi-nator H2-F:
- Is dyed blue for easy identification
- Is a more cost effective option as the timber is treated
during the manufacturing process.
- Termi-nator Warranty does not require the resealing of end cuts
- Has end use restrictions imposed on by Australian Standards:
- H2-F is not suitable for use above the Tropic of Capricorn.
- H2-F can only be used to treat timber in end sections 140 x 45mm and below.
Termi-nator H2:
- Is a faint red/orange colour
- Is a more complex treatment process.
- Warranty does requires the resealing of end cuts if used above the Tropic
of Capricorn
- Is approved for use Australia wide
- Is suitable for treating all end sections
Both Termi-nator H2 and Termi-nator H2-F are guaranteed to resist termite
attack for 25-years.

Termi-nator - Made from Environmentally Responsible Plantation Pine
Plantations where Termi-nator timber is grown, act as air filters by absorbing
and locking up deadly carbon monoxide. Compare this to other termite resistant
building materials such as steel, the production of which actually releases this
pollution into the atmosphere.
The
environmental performance of timber compared to steel and concrete
Timber plantations are protected by Commonwealth regulations and are carefully
managed and replanted.
Safe and easy to build with, the Termi-nator range means one warranty
to protect your building's floor frames, wall frames and roof trusses against
termite attack.
